Hello,

Derek Haynes taught this dance at the Australian Winter School in 1999 and
we danced it as a 4x32 strathspey. By the way, there is an error in the
description published in the 5th Carnforth Collection in bars 25-32 - it
should say 3rd & 2nd couples, and at the same time 1st and 4th couples pass
right shoulders to start.

While he says that the dance was written for Pat Batt, in Western Australia
he said it was turned upside down for his visit to Australia, but in the
5th Carnforth Collection, he changed that statement to cover This Way Up.

Why not come to Western Australia in 2013 for the Australian Winter School
in Albany? It is the height of the Wild Flower season; Western Australia is
internationally famous for its wild flowers, for their variety, colour and
quantity. Find out on www.rscds.org.au and follow the Winter School links.

Brian Charlton,
Sydney, Australia.

Thanks you, I thought it would be danced as 4x32. I did notice the
error in the reel. Thank you also for the information about the dance
that I can pass on in class.
