My comment on stirring was not that stirring is bad, but it seems to me that discussions should have a goal in mind. For example, people express negative views about aspects of RSCDS. I am usually presuming that they are wanting to change for good, to improve things. My impression with Hamish, and this could simply be the filter of e-mail communication, was that he was not trying to do this but to stir for its own sake; perhaps from caprice. Maybe this is wrong. But I did not see to many positive things in the discussions. rod
