I have not followed this thread in its entirety so forgive me if this is a
repeat of an earlier opinion.  If you read the article by Dixie Ingram you
will see that he clearly does not relate SCD to the performances on the
White Heather Club.  These being based mainly on highland and ballet dance
styles.  About 12 months ago the BBC broadcast a White Heather Club
programme.  I found it very enjoyable although dated but having been made in
the 1960's you would expect that.  Having said that what is wrong with toe
pointing?
