I don't know if you have got round to teaching this yet - we had a go last Friday.

Lesson to be learnt - don't assume that people are bright enough to dance a U shaped
reel of four, even if they say they can!

Start with a straight reel of four across

Then dance it in 12 instead of 8 bars
Then dance it with another R Sh pass using 14 bars
Then bend it slightly and say it is a crescent reel
Then bend it all the way into a U

Another point to be made about the dance - it goes on too long!
