Dear Alan,

See my post a couple of days ago and the reply. The Muriel Johnstone
recording of The Misses Cramb of Linlithgow is recorded as 8x32.

Regarding your other posting of today, of course DD is right with such
dances as Chrysanthemum and the Dancing Master, where the music may be 3x32,
but the dances are 4 couple square sets. Of course George Meikle is a
musician and is looking primarily at how to play music for the dance,
whereas most of us don't listen much to the music (certainly many of the
dancers don't appear to listen!!) No offence, please, George.
