I also prefer a RF over an infrared remote. We use the L3 Systems KeyRF remote with our laptop in class, http://www.x10.com/entertainment/mk19a_s.html. It's a bit pricey, but works well. We've also used X10's MouseRemote, http://www.x10.com/entertainment/mk19a_s.html, but found it unreliable. I exchanged 1 under warranty and then when the second one went bad after the warranty ran out, I bought the L3 KeyRF. The MouseRemote had more flexibility in programming and was cheaper. The KeyRF does what we really need it to do though, it starts and stops play in WinAmp, and is more reliable. It can be programmed to emulate key strokes in whichever application you have in the active window. (The MouseRemote could send keystrokes to applications that where not active). The KeyRFis also much smaller and can be put in a sporran or around your wrist on a coil key chain. Patty Patty Lindsay Flying Ghillies SCD Dayton, Ohio
