Hi Alan, Pittencrieff Panic was a group of my friends (calling themselves the Town House Posse) to celebrate my wedding to David on 8 May 2004. The reception was held in the Glen Pavillion in Pittencrief Park in Dunfermline. The Panic bit comes from the fact that it was only when they were having tea in between attending the wedding ceremony and coming to the evening reception that they realised no-one had written a dance for us. The people who I know were involved are Christine Aerts, Vicky Whitcomb, Jim Gardener, Nic Meller, Mike Brand and Rachel Robson, but there were about 15 others who may have added their own comments. David is still promising to write a tune to go with it (it's an 8x32R) For those who don't have the instructions, it goes like this: 1-8 1s dance in towards each other then cast to 2nd place (2s step up) and dance round each other passing RS to finish in 2nd place facing out 9-16 2s, 1s & 3s reel of three on the sidelines (1M & 2M, 1L & 3L pass RS to start) 17-24 2L, 1L & 3L Advance to Men's side, set, retire to own side and set while 2M, 1M & 3M set twice, advance to Ladies' side and retire 25-32 2s, 1s & 3s six hands round and back. If you try it, please let me know how you get on. Hope that helps, Seonaid Anderson Markinch, Fife Alan Paterson <xxxx.xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.xx> wrote: Can anyone tell me who devised any or all of the following dances: GREENMANTLE. 32 bar Strathspey 3C set THE LADY OF THE DANCE. 80 bar Strathspey.
