In our area we sometimes dance on highly polished floors. These can be too slippery. The solution is to scatter a small amount of rosin power on the floor. this is easily picked up with a dust mop if necessary. The question is, does anybody know of an inexpensive source of powdered rosin?. Currently we use the rosin distributed to baseball teams to improve grip. that seems to be available only in 4 ounce bags for about $4.00.

Mike, Get yourself a "batter's bag" of rosin, the kind used by baseball players these are large enough but as you point out they are expensive. To replenish the bag go to your local Vet. Supply house and buy a box (prob 1 pound) of rosin for a $1 or $2. Of course, if you or someone in the group can sew then a muslin bag with a drawstring can be made up that can hold any amount of rosin you want. Please note that you really don't want *powdered rosin* but rosin in *chunks* which when bashed against the floor makes it's own powder. :) I hope that helps! Tom Mungall
