Well, I'm almost certain they are not by Ian R Muir, leader of the Craigellachie Band (who, by the way, now lives in Kitbury, Berkshire). Having had the inestimable honour of playing in his band for 18 years I've not come across them so I assume they are by Ian T Muir from Prestwick. Graham Hamilton

Obvious when you think about it. And thanks for correcting me on Ian T Muir's location (who do I know in Banchory, then?) Alan

Alan, I have just returned from staying the weekend with Roy Goldring, whilst tutoring at the musician's course for RSCDS Leeds Branch yesterday and I took the opportunity to check out your query. I can confirm that both tunes were definitely composed by Ian Muir of Prestwick - so you dont't need to go looking for anybody in Banchory!!! Regards George Meikle
