It was in Jackson, Missouri. According to the student, when the principal's told him he was violating the school dress code he told him "he didn't want anybody looking like a clown," although the principal later stated that he did not recall saying that. Earlier this month the student received a letter of apology from the district superintendent which stated that the district would train staff on proper application of the dress code.
