Hereabouts (Southern California) we've often called the reels in Pelorus
Jack "dolphin reels" (must be another localism!..."dolphin reels" anywhere
else?), and have typically left tandem reels in their logical state (cf.
someone's previous reference to a tandem bicycle) as reels in tandem with the
leader and follower remaining unchanged. Apparently then our "tandem"
localism, albeït logical, is now in conflict with official RSCDS terminology.

IIRC, there should be a long discussion of this issue somewhere in the
Strathspey archives from maybe 2-3 years ago if anyone's curious; I don't
have time to check. -Steve
