Hei Eike In some 4 couple dances the 3rd and 4th couple have to start on the opposite sides. Tradition dictates that the set is formed with everyone on their own side and in stead if having just one chord of music during which you acknowledge your partner, you have two chords: on the first every acknowledges their partner and on the 2nd chord the 3rd and 4th couples cross over so that they are in the right place to begin the dance.
