    Helen Townley

This is a message I have been intending to send for
quite qa while but got hung up in the press of other distractions.
A long time ago Helen used to dance and teach in London
    and is southerly environs.
In those days of 'Steam' computers and punch-cards Helen
instigated the indexing of dances on these cards by type, book
reference, deviser, and content and which she originally used to
carry round in a small suitcase.
I understand that Keith Napier used some of her initial data
to kick-start his index which has led onward and upward!. (Do I have
    that right, Keith?)
The point of all this rambling is that I mentioned her name to
a certain editor I wot of and he asked if there was any news of her?
I believe she was dancing in the Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire
    area some years ago.
Is there anyone who can give better history/news of her?
