The Cooper's Wife

Nov. 6, 2001, 4:21 a.m. (Message 28055)

I, like Marian Stroh, am eagerly awaiting the resolution of the mystery of
Ian Brown of Harrogate's «The Cooper's Wife». My class has been dancing Wee
Cooper for years, and if there is such a companion dance, I'd likewise be
most happy to have the instructions.

Since Ian's subject was in fact The Wee Cooper of Fife, I wonder if his
in-paragraph mention of The Cooper's Wife might just have been an
unintentional slip of phrase.
(Only you, Ian, can answer that!) If there is no such dance, then it's
nonetheless a wonderful play of words, and someone ought to devise one--with
ten-bar phrases of course--post haste.
