I've just today received a copy of the Dunsmuir Dances book which contains
Linnea's Strathspey. Having seen some performances of it on youtube, it
looks a cracker of dance

A cracker it definitely is, this American presuming that that means
something double-plus good. It has been immensely popular in Southern California
for many a year.
The same lovely characteristic "Linnea Figure" (a.k.a. chaperoned chain
progression), devised by Tim Wilson for this dance specifically if my memory
serves me correctly, can also be found in Gail Sibley's very nice
subsequently devised Sandy's Scotch Broth published in the Katannuta Collection.
