strathspey+unsubscribe@strathspey.org (note the plus sign)
This will actually get you off the list.
You can find this explanation in the mailing list directions on
http://www.strathspey.org. Also, quality mail programs will take advantage of
the mailing list management information that goes out with every single
message (in the header, so you don't usually get to see it unless you ask to
view the »raw message« or whatever your program calls it) to present something
like a menu that will let you post/subscribe/unsubscribe to the list.
