For those trying the new dances - I believe there is an error in "Forty-five
years on"
bars 9-16 - last sentance reads
"
and 4th man, followed by 1st man, passes 3rd man by the right."
I believe that it was intended to read
"and 1st man, followed by 4th man, passes 3rd man by the right."
At that point in the dance I have the order of the dancers as 2 4 1 3 all on
own sides, 4th & 1st ladies facing up and 4th and 1st men facing down which
puts 1st man in the lead not 4th man.
Now a mild rant - why did they not use the plural when describing the reels?
I had to plot out the dance to figure out that the intent was two lead
changes in eight bars. "tandem reels of three with lead *changes*" would
have saved me a good bit of grief.
An Aside: Tandem reel with ONE lead change in eight bars can be found in Ian
Boyd's dance "Homeward Bound" (32 R 3C - The World Around the Corner).
Very pleasant dance by the way - thank you Ian.
