It has already led us into muddy waters :>)

I do personally believe that corners (positions) never change, only the
dancers move - as someone has already said. And as right is always on the
right no matter where you go, and left is on the left, saying the 'the other
side' may do - there are no P's in the wording and not many 's' sounds, so
should be able to roll of the tongue quite easily (p, s, and t - notoriously
difficult to say especially added in one word 'position').
