It's our 'National Boid' and the emblem on the reverse of a Canadian $1 coin -
hence we call them 'Loonies'.
The new 2-metal, 2-tone, incredible-separating $2 coin was then dubbed a '2nie'
or a 'Double-Loon', even though it had a polar bear on the reverse and should
have been called a 'bear behind'. :-)
