Haymakers is VERY old - and very possibly both Strip the Willow and The
Virginia
Reel are variations of it - just set in a different time and place and
renamed.
Our group has done abbreviated versions of all three to illustrate how
dances are
connected to each other - many school kids and parents have heard of the
Virginia
Reel, and consider it an American folk dance. The similarity with the other
two dances
indicate that people brought their music and dances with them, but then
they were
altered somewhat - for possibly many different reasons.

This looks much like Haymakers Jig.
