I have the Old Masters cd and Caledonian Rant says 8x32 and gives the 3
tunes as Mrs Grieve Of Howden, J.F. MacKenzie and Captain Horne. That's
it, I'm afraid, Alan.

I have just played through the recording and counted it through and it
is only 3 X 32 and plays for approx 2.58 minutes.

Highlander Old Masters, Vol 1, Track 11 Caledonian Rant plays for 7 min and
42 seconds. That is an 8 x 32. Unfortunately don't have the specifics on
the tunes used.

It was sometimes the case that different versions of phonograph recordings
were issued in different countries. Could Ivan and Gary respond with
some additional information about their recordings? The best info seems
to appear on vinyl discs: the label will have the company name, their
catalogue number, and some attributions at the bottom; and most significantly,
a series of letters and numbers identifying the stamping master, usually
hand-engraved, in the area between the label and the recorded grooves.
CDs should have identifying codes around the centre hole. Cassette tapes,
sadly, have no consistent pattern.
