EDINBURGH TATTOO

I follow the comments regarding the Tattoo with great interest.
Firstly I think it is about time that sombody realised that the Edinburgh
Military Tattoo does not in fact exist. The EDINBURGH TATTOO is run as a
private limited company and as such is a trading organisation.

Serious thought should be given by those dancers giving their time, the
expense, wear and tear of kilts dresses shoes, all for the benefit of the
company shareholders. Dundee Branch paid from branch funds for members to go,
including the then chairmans wife, on the pretext of promoting SCD. Admirable
as that profound statement may be in accounting terms it Dundee Branch is a
charitable trust and is seen to be giving money to a private company for the
shareholders benefit. I suggest this may not stand up in strict legal
terms!!! I suggest you check whether the SOBHD did the show and the members
subsidised it! I think not.
YES the Edinburgh Tattoo was once the Edinburgh Military Tattoo but alas no
longer.
