About the musicians:
Mike Briggs (piano and accordion):
For about 15 years Mike has been class musician with the Madison Scottish
Country Dancers, and with McDuff's Ceilidh Band has played for dances and
balls in Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Rockford, St. Charles, Chicago and Ames.
Mike has also provided music for English country dancing and New England
contra dancing, and for morris dancing with Oak Apple Morris. A lawyer by
trade, Mike has also been a librarian, high school teacher, waiter and bus
conductor.

Susan Conant (flute, recorders and whistles): Susan grew up steeped in dance
music at Pinewoods Camp in Plymouth, Massachusetts. She received her
classical training at the New England Conservatory of Music and the Longy
School of Music. She has played for numerous English, American and Scottish
dances and enjoys the relaxed, energetic atmosphere of dance music. As a
member of James Street Players, a classical chamber music quintet, Susan
performs concerts regularly throughout the Chicago area.

Dave Mullen (fiddle): A violinist since junior high school, Dave was
introduced to Scottish fiddle music three years ago at the 1996 Milwaukee
Highland Games. After attending a workshop with Barbara McOwen, Dave jumped
in with both feet as fiddler for the Milwaukee Scottish Country Dancers'
weekly meetings and dances, and as class musician for beginners' classes at
UW-Milwaukee. Also a singer and guitarist, Dave plays with ensembles ranging
from pit orchestras to the Christian acoustic trio Tres Dias.
