Summer Dancing in Scotland

Message 17837 · The_Healys · 30 Jun 1999 13:16:42 · Top

Greetings:

Normally around this time of year I post a summary of the main
Summer Dancing around Summer School. I do not propose doing so this
year as Jim Walker has a much more ambitious project to log all SCD
events in Scotland on his web site at:

http://wkweb5.cableinet.co.uk/j.walker

If anyone does not have web access and wants information for
specific dates, please feel free to contact me privately.

Fellow dancers,

The Cincinnati Branch RSCDS website now contains a selection of
dances devised and danced by the branch. These dances, two
strathspeys, a reel, and a jig, seemed to work well when tested
during our summer informal weekly dances.

"Slip the Surly Bonds," 32S2c
"Pinwheels," 32R3c
"The Swelterin' Strathspey," 32S3c
"The July 28th Jig," 32J3c

Please feel free to visit our web site at:

http://www.infinet.com/~plindsay/rscds/

...and click on "Dances" in the navigation bar in the left-hand frame.
If anyone tries these, we'd appreciate feedback.

Enjoy,

Lee
