Dancing Posties' in a Paper Bag

I was at St. Andrews for the paper bag dance - if I rightly recall I helped
in the initial stages of bag assembly - was an enormous bag... But the
funniest thing about the performance was Wilma Miller ( a.k.a "Wicked Wilma"
to those of you who are so acquainted with her). She was Chairman of the
RSCDS that year, and I believe she was Depute Director for the Summer School
first fortnight as well. She is a rather large lady and in my experience
has a huge sense of humour (outside of class). Seh was seated on the sofa
reserved for the Summer school hierarchy. She was rolling with laughter
unitl sh realized that the dance being performed was "Postie's Jig".
"They're doing "Postie's Jig" she cried - as of course it's not an RSCDS
published dance - not acceptable at St. Andrews. Someone shouted out at her
"And how would you know what Postie's Jig looks like?" Especially since all
you could see were feet and ankles and periodic bulges inside the bag.
Again she was in fits of laughter over the idea...
