Hi, I think this is a great idea - and good timing. The San Francisco
Branch has a photo site under construction:

http://www.reznickfamily.com/directory/directory.html

Any comments would be useful at this point, directed to Greg Reznick at:

greg@reznickfamily.com

Plans are to include directories for first and last names, classes and
teachers. Of course getting photos may be another story. Some sort of
cross-connection to a strathspey site would be good. (Think Greg may be
on vacation, as he hasn't responded to this issue yet.)

Here's to the New Year!

Hi Linda. Thanks for the plug. I should warn folks that the URL Linda
provided will be short lived as I now have approval from the branch
committee to proceed and will be moving the pages into the SF Branch web
site (http://www.rscds-sf.pair.com) as soon as I have enough names and
pictures to make it reasonable.

Now that my little scheme has been "outed", I should state the goals and
rules before I get flamed:

The goal is provide a directory that is sorted by first name as well as last
name, and to provide a way a matching a name to a face. To further help
identify the right person, lists sorted by class affiliation will also be
provided.

The rules are that no information beyond name and face will be provided
online (no email, phone, etc.) Furthermore, no one will be included without
their express permission.

For those of you in the SF Branch, I should like to announce that, as a way
to get the ball rolling, I am running a "Put Your Mug on the Net" campaign.
Send me your agreement to be listed with a digital image, a photo for
scanning, or a request to have your picture taken at the next party, and you
will be entered in a drawing to receive a coffee mug with your image on it.
Five mugs will be given away, and I will close the drawing when I get enough
to get going. (With your agreement, please give your name as you would like
to have it listed, and the classes that you would like to claim affiliation
with.)

Happy Holidays to all.
