Hi folks,

I'm organizing another trip especially for Scottish dancers, to ALASKA,
from August 8 - 15, 1998. This trip is a one week cruise on the deluxe vessel
the Dawn Princess and the trip is designed to dovetail with the TAC Summer
School for all dance levels in Vancouver. When combined together they provide
an excellent cost effective opportunity to explore the Pacific Northwest while
enjoying SCDing.

"A Journey thru Glaciers & Fiords: Dancing through the Inside Passage of Alaska"
with live on board music by Fred Moyes, hosted by Valerie Harris.

This trip begins in Seward, Alaska, near the spectacular Kenai Fiords
National Park,
and the itinerary includes an excellent choice of glaciers, quaint coastal
towns and
National Parks, including Glacier Bay, College Fiord, Skagway, Ketchikan, Juneau
and the beautiful inland passage of British Columbia. The trip finishes in
Vancouver
the day before the Summer School begins.

Valerie and Fred are going to run easy going RSCDS style social dancing sessions
as often as desired throughout the trip. There will be some special sessions
on the
Bob Campbell dances. In 1997 on a similar trip we danced both inside and
outside,
including at least one dancing session by bright moonlight on the deck -
a very romantic experience!

There are cabins beginning at $1229 per person USD including taxes,
and special airfare packages from all over North America that allow early
departures,
late returns and generally good flexibility at reasonable rates. There is an
excellent 3rd person in the same cabin rate of $199 - bring a friend or
family member!

Since I live in Alaska, I am in a good situation to help people with pre-cruise
private touring arrangements. I have already learned that early booking is
essential
to get good space in places like Denali National Park (Mt. McKinley), and other
beautiful areas. So if you want me to help you make arrangements for
individual sightseeing,
contact me early.

I have mailed some brochures already and the trip is partially booked as I
post this notice.
The best rates are available to those who book before February 14, 1998. If
you would like
more information or an 8 page brochure, please contact me through one of the
following ways:

I hope you can come along!
