I have just looked at the RSCDS video of the dance, and the dancing
couple finish bar 16 in the middle of the dance facing down,
they then dance down the middle for one step, nearer hands joined,
turn towards each other and face up;
then they dance up for one step, NHJ;
which leaves them 2 bars to cast from the middle into 2nd place, while
2nd couple step in and up;
finally they lead down crossing through the 3s and cast up into 2nd place,
opposite side (1/2 figure of eight with hands?)

Whilst the RSCDS videos are not always the best guide as to phrasing,
in this case the dancing couple were of a very high standard and made
the whole thing a delight to watch, (in fact it was a superb example of
what is meant by phrasing!)
