As a follow-up to my message of a couple of weeks ago about my community's
Halloween activities, the "are we doing the pumpkins this year" message went
out last week, fifty pumpkins have been acquired, and
> Pumpkin carving will take place this Wednesday and Thursday at the LIP
from 4pm until you get tired. < (That's today and tomorrow.)
Friday's children's progress has been established, and our resident fiddler
has agreed to play for Cutty Sark (8x32J) at the bonfire. If the dancers
look moon-eyed at her, we may persuade her to play for a few more.
If you are local, and would like to join us, contact me for more details.
(You will know if you are local to me.) Trick-or-treating children are
welcome and, because we're a closed community, some of our own are
teenagers. I'm making caramel apples.
Martin, wanna come from France? And have a _real_ Chapel Hill Halloween, not
the kind you suffered in the 1970s?
Cheers,
Deborah
