Of course. I do it every week. Can't you enjoy dancing while

So dress down instead. Plenty of costume possibilities are
casual by nature. The point isn't to do something distasteful, but to
provide an opportunity to add an extra element of fantasy & frivolity to
ONE dance in the year, and to provide an excuse for the normally uptight
to loosen up a little if they so choose. If they don't - they don't have
to participate! Live & let live.
Okay, I've had my say & then some on this subject. Hope everyone
enjoys whatever they choose to do to celebrate or avoid celebrating this
