I am checking to see if anyone on the list knows about an apparently very
obscure Nathaniel Gow Scottish Dance music manuscript that I have acquired.
It is called "A Complete Collection of Original German Valtz for the Piano
Forte or Violin and Violincello, etc, Dedicated to Lady Charlotte Campbell"
by Nathanaiel Gow.

I have heard it was originally published in 1796, with a 2nd edition in
1820. I would like confirmaiton of the date if anyone can provide that. I
have also heard that there are no copies in places like the Huntington
Library, and other large music libraries, nor have I personally found it in
other modern collections of re-printed Gow music.

In due course I would like to make this (and other manuscripts) available to
musicians and others who are interested, and I'm soliciting suggestions for
ways to do that, but right now I am most interested in information about
this specific collection of music. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Ken McFarland
