I assumed that the set-up of the software at the receiving end of an e-mail
determined what information appeared on the screen, but it must be more
complicated than that.
I use Eudora, whichshows the writer's name just under the menu bar at the
top of the screen, and, 9 times/10, allows me to reply to a list simply be
striking the "reply" key. When I want to send a private reply, I have to
type the personal address in by finger.
However, with my other favorite list, for "Moroccans and friends of
Morocco", the "reply" key will send the message privately, and NOT to the
list, even though all the info given above the message itself is in the
same format whatever the list.
Beats me. Like circles and roundabouts.
