I've been asked to play for a social at which Fraser's Favourite
(Leaflet 3) and Frae a' the airts (Leaflet 8) will be on the program.
All I have is the pocket book, which includes no tunes. If anyone has
the original leaflets, please let me know if any lead tunes are
recommended and if music was printed with the dance instructions.
Bauldy Bain's fiddle (Lothian Coll.) is also on the program. Dickson
recommends Old Willie Hunter as a lead tune. I've checked my
(reasonably) extensive collection of printed music, but I don't find it.
Anybody have any ideas? Failing that, who has recorded music for the
dance?
