Dear All,
I think it is fair to say that bands in Scotland tended (and some still do)
play at a brisker pace than what is in some places thought to be correct. I
don’t think it has much to do with fitting tracks onto records though
obviously there was a limit to what you could get on there. I was
interested to see the remark - “ (For instance those preoccupied with good
footwork.)”, shouldn’t we all aim for this? Just my two penuth.
