Hi All,

Thanks for the responses. It turns out it’s from the Miller o’ Hirn
collection, republished in Hardie’s Caledonian Companion, and also known as
Mr A. G. Wilken’s Favourite and Mr A. Q. Wilken’s Favourite. It’s on the

Hi All,

I’m looking for a tune which I’ve heard off a recording.  The tune is “Mr.
A. G. Wilcen’s Favourite”, a strathspey used by Marian Anderson as tune 3 of
track 8 of the RSCDS album for Book 42 and attributed there to James Scott
Skinner.

Does anyone have a transcription they’d be willing to send me?  Or can
anyone tell me where I can find a publication containing it?  It’s the
suggested tune for one of my dances, and I’d like to include the dots with
the dance.
