I used to know a good web site that provided a list of 3 or 4 tunes and
music for various dances. It was in my favourites but it must be defunct
as I have not found it this last half hour of searching. They should
buy the book "Originally Ours: lead tunes for all dances published by
the RSCDS, 1923-2005" from the Royal Scottish Dance Soc. in Edinburgh,
if they don't already have it. That's what we use for the "signature
tune" for each dance. We then pick tunes 2,3 and sometimes 4 that we
like, to go with the signature tunes. Picking tunes that you like to
play is half the battle, and everyone has different tastes.
