elitist?

Of course - spending always depends on income - but I would not judge
everything that I cannot afford to be elitist. Cost of venue, content etc
has a lot of influence on what an event cost. Luckily we are such an
diverse group of people, that I think that there are events for everyone.

All depends on one's income, or whether anyone else is paying the fees.
