The story may be apocryphal and is certainly not attached to the original
instructions, however....
J.B.Milne was a real person and _did_ own a string of cinemas in the Dundee
area before World War II. Why Angus Fitchet wrote the tune and whether
the tune came before the dance, I don't know.
The dance seems to be well known and pretty popular all over, as with so
many by Hugh Foss.
