Kelso is about one hour from Edinburgh to the south-east (when I'm driving, at
least). It is famous for its National Hunt (jump) horse-racing course which
according to the Sunday Times readership is »Britain's friendliest
race-course«.
It's rather a nice place for a holiday if you don't require excitement. We
spent nearly two weeks there in May this year; tried to go dancing but all
the classes were in recess already :^( If anyone wants a recommendation for a
holiday flat nearby, send me private e-mail.
