Prior to coming to Coates Crescent, Muriel Gibson had rendered distinguished
serviced to her country. During World War II, Muriel Gibson joined the
Woman's Royal Army Corps and served at the rank of Major.After the war,
unable to gain the level of responsibility she had during the war, she
rejoined the army and never regretted it. She retired as a Lieutenant
Colonel.
