Since we are a society dedicated to the preservation of Scottish culture, perhaps we should solve the English spelling problems by adopting the Scots, which is much more logical, except for the asperated "wh" which becomes quwich, quhat, quho, quhen, quhere, quhy, etc.-
An other reason might help the foreigners pronounce the dancers better and avoid such sounds as |bal-KWID-er| [Strathspey].
We can also avoid the French-French sounds where that thing we do with our foot in the pdb will start to sound like a dock insted of rhyming with "frito-LAY".*
Remember, just kidding, but the list is endless.
