Hi, Don I liked the look of your dance tho' I
haven't had the chance to see it danced.
May I ask a question? Did you consider having 1s dancing
down near hands joined on bars 1-4? After all, you do require them to
finish NHJ facing 2L on bar 8.
I ask this because in my class, as in others I attend, there are a
few older (well, we're all older :~) dancers who cannot reach to take the
right hand over as you require on bar 4. We usually dance NHJ
anyway to achieve the turn about and it is used in several other dances.
Otherwise it means that the man has to almost sidle round facing his
partner to achieve the right hand turn-under correctly.
I have found that the NHJ turn is more open and looks more
elegant in these circs.
I hope you don't mind these remarks. I am afraid many of us
will have to dance NHJ anyway :~)
