I am intrigued by this "chanhe" in Jessie's Hornpipe, so far I have been told that 101 dances was first published in 1956
well that is a long time after book 8 was published - and Miss M was alive at both times.
Book 8 gives the origins of the dance, is there any similat comment in 101 - I am just wondering if weare talking about the same dance in both books. Why detail it in both books and are there any more duplications - I just wish I could get hold of a copy of 101. Are there any Strathspeyers who were active at HQ in the 1950s and who knew Miss M and could give an explanation for this change. I know someone who may be able to help but he is not on the im#nternet.
