I really enjoyed your little homily on what musicians are doing among
themselves up on the stage - so true.
I also so much agree about the playing being MORE fun, or at least more
satisfying; it's what I always refer to as "the puppeteer complex" - making
the puppets dance on the end of one's strings!
I have a nasty feeling that you sent me an e-mail a while back to which I
never replied? grovelling apologies, and if you care to try again I'll
promise to respond.
I'm looking forward very much to ESS - they really did hire the whole
team again (or pretty nearly)! I never thought they would, did you?
I almost forgot to wish you a guid New Year - a bit belatedly, I fear.
Have you come across our two latest CDs (Long Live London and Walpole
Cottage)? I'd be interested in your comments when you do. We got an
absolutely fabulous, totally unsolicited review in The Shetland Times on Dec.
27th, written by the pianist of the Shetland Fiddlers Society. Watch my web
site for it soon, as we are hoping to put it up there!
