Thanks to Fiona and William for their comments, Fiona suggest canvassing MPs, with respect as I have already said I signed a petition together with many thousands of other people opposing this legislation.
I agree with William that the Society should be making very strong representations
but will a Scottish Society do this for the English Branches which outnumber those in Scotland and have a higher membership than in Scotland.
Since many Strathspeyers are also on the Management Board and Committees
it will be very interesting to see if any immediate action is taken
