The easiest way to get information on the uni dance circuit is to join the mailing list xxx-xxxx@xx.xx.xx.

The dances tend to follow the same calender every year:

November
2nd weekend - Dunedin / Aurora
3rd weekend - Newcastle / St Andrews
4th weekend - (New Scotland) Edinburgh /Alba

December
1/2 weekend - SUSCDF (Scottish Universities Festival - venue variable)

January
Last weekend - New Scotland Ball

February
1st weekend - Glasgow Ball
2nd weekend - St Andrews Ball
3rd weekend - Newcastle (sometimes)

Feb/March
IVFDF - variable location
2nd weekend - Newcastle (if not held in Feb)
3 weekend - Oxford/Cambridge Ball
3/4 weekend - Dunedin Ball

April
3/4 weekend - Dundee Ball

May
1st weekend (Sun) - St Andrews Castle Ceilidh
4th weekend - Aurora Ball

June
2nd weekend - Dunedin
3rd weekend - New Scotland

Thus this weekend we have New Scotland (see e-mail of a couple of days ago) and Alba. SUSCDF this year is in Glasgow on 7th December. IVFDF is in Sheffield.

I'll try to remember to post details as and when I get them.
There is also SCD groups in Aberdeen and Leeds universities, but as far as I know they don't run regular dances.
