I shall never forget meeting Ken MacFarland face-to-face for the first
time -- we were on South Plaza, one of the smallest islands that permits
tourists on it, in the Galapagos Islands. The look on his face when Holly
Sherman introduced us! (I was not with his tour, but one another, which
happened to be one of the limit of three permitted on that island at one
time.)
And at Pinewoods, we always meet at least one other Strathspey
correspondent each week we go.
