......of eight months my young family lived in London. My sons and I
"Teaed" regularly with an international set after the boy's 'Bishop Gilpin
Church of England British Enfant School' let out of an afternoon(never could
remember how it was listed in the phone directory:-)), either at our home or
as visitors with a varied international set of families. Never knew
whether, as a visitor, it would be high tea, low tea, your tea, my tea, or
what any of us 'from away' thought it should be. Well, the 'Touching Code'
was also all mixed up. Do we hug, shake hands, simply bow, or kiss, and
then how many times on each facial cheek....? What a major lesson in
accurately reading others, but also being our natural selves... Like SCD
'Signs of Recognition/Approval' on the dance floor... But, after all, it is
Social Dance, and a sense of humor covers a gaffe or two on both sides of
human interaction... My God, what an adventure of Trust to dance with
Unknown New Dancers.... Ok, enough of tongue in cheek. It's a Saturday,
and not a dancing Saturday, and, help, I'm in the Office.
