You start the reels of four in two lines across the dance
and you finish them in the same place. 1st couple are now ideally
placed to dance the figure of eight around the 2nd couple, and 3rd
couple likewise around 4th couple. They cross between the couple,
cast back into the middle, cross out between them again and cast
back in ready for the left hands across.
