Anselm -
Before you decide that the differences between a diatonic accordion and a
chromatic one are all the great just try to sing a scale - do-re-mi-etc.
That's a chromatic accordion. Now try to sing the same scale breathing in
on do, out on re, in on mi, etc and you'll find the difference between the 2.
